GridPilot is a local-first macOS utility. It has no GridPilot account, analytics, advertising, tracking, or developer-operated data server.
What GridPilot uses
GridPilot uses macOS Window Automation to move and resize windows. It processes app identity, window geometry and visibility state locally. When a saved workspace contains several windows from the same app, GridPilot may read their titles locally only to distinguish those siblings. It does not read window contents, ordinary typing, the clipboard, browsing history, or unrelated files.
Optional permissions
Input Monitoring is optional and enables drag detection and GridPilot keyboard shortcuts. Menu commands remain available without it. GridPilot does not require Screen Recording.
Saved workspace data
Profiles, custom layouts, snapshots, app identities, window geometry, and URLs or documents you explicitly add are stored only inside GridPilot's local App Sandbox container on your Mac. They are not uploaded or synchronized by GridPilot.
Purchases
Apple processes purchases, subscription billing, introductory offers, and entitlement verification through the App Store and StoreKit. GridPilot receives only verified entitlement status and never receives your payment details.
Your controls and deletion
Profiles → Delete All Saved Workspace Data removes saved Profiles and Desktop Snapshots, including their locally stored app identity, geometry, titles, URLs, and document references. You can revoke Window Automation or Input Monitoring in macOS System Settings at any time. Deleting the app and its data removes the remaining local settings.
